A second
home, in your
own back
yard.
Jet City ADU is a Pacific Northwest general contractor building accessory dwelling units and detached cottages — new builds and conversions — quietly, on schedule, and with a single crew you'll know by name.
We build the kind of homes that quietly outlast trends — a place for a tenant, a parent moving closer, a grown child landing, or a backyard cottage that pays for itself.
Run by Matt Matysik, Jet City ADU has spent the last decade focused on a narrow set of project types: accessory dwelling units and DADUs — new builds and conversions — plus additions, new construction, and whole-home renovations. That focus is on purpose. It lets us run a single crew, keep schedules honest, and finish with the attention to detail this work deserves.
Quietly running a single crew across the Seattle area since 2015.
King & Snohomish — Seattle, the Eastside, and the cities just north.
A small number of projects in flight means real attention, not delegated promises.
Fixed-price contracts and a written allowance schedule before we start.
Five things,
done well.
We don't take every project — we take the ones we can finish on a schedule, with the same crew, to the same standard. That short list is below.
Accessory Dwelling Units
Self-contained living spaces — kitchen, bath, and private entrance — added to your existing home or basement.
Detached Accessory Dwelling Units
Separate, freestanding homes in your backyard — full privacy, full systems, and as small or generous as your lot allows.
New Construction
Custom single-family homes built on infill lots and rural parcels across the greater Seattle area.
Additions & Add-Ons
Pop-tops, room additions, bump-outs, and second-story additions that match the home you already have.
Whole-Home Renovations
Down-to-the-studs renovations: layout changes, full MEP replacement, envelope upgrades, and a finish package that holds up.
The trades who finish your house should be the same ones who started it.
We work with a small set of trades we've known for years — framers, electricians, plumbers, tilesetters — and we plan the schedule around their availability instead of hopping between subs. The result is a quieter site, fewer surprises, and finish work that looks like it was always supposed to be there.
